    It was time to update to Windows 11. I prefer HP products. I found the CPU easy to install, upload my wireless printer, cell phone, burn a disk and use settings more easily. Keyboard included is a little different, kept hitting \ key instead of capital key. Sound is clear. Before I updated my internet, speed with quick loads and updates on metered internet. I kept my old monitor and it played clearly without issue. Good value for the money.

    This tower fits my needs very well. I’m a long-time HP customer and have never been disappointed. All my hardware, some of it old, works without a hitch. I’m glad for the 8 USB ports, as I have a number of peripherals. The external DVD player that’s included works very easily and well.

    One week into learning about my HP Pro Tower 290 G9 Business Desktop, and I am real satisfied with the computer itself but have been having a lot of trouble understanding how to integrate Windows 11 and get surprised when Windows stops everything and starts an upgrade to the computer’s software. I am not sure what the heck is going on because there are no desktop signals as to what to expect in the shut down to load new software changes. Copilot tome is terrible…

    I would not buy this computer!

    I see that there is a notice in the description that this is a “frequently returned” item. That was not there when I purchased this but I see why it’s there. I had a great computer but I could not update it to Windows 11 so I thought that I would just replace it. What a mistake! This computer has been a nightmare to get running starting with the 2 monitor support. Had to purchase adapter for one monitor. It just feels cheap with a definite lack of adequate ports. I’m sure there are better computers out there for the money.

    Easy to set up. Handles what I need just fine. I often have two or more windows open at a time no problem. I do play games and thought I needed a gaming computer but turns out I was wrong; this one does all I need.

    It’s not as described. The DVR-RW is external not internal as shown. And the drive doesn’t work. I contacted Amazon and the seller about replacing the drive six days ago and no response. I ordered a new drive and it works fine. The computer works great. But because of this it gets 3 out of 5 stars.

    It works but it’s a very basic desktop, with only 1 HDMI, and zero USB-C. If you’re only using the computer for the basics, the computer will be fine.

    This is a great computer. I have carbonite so it took 8 hours to load my data but after that the process was easy. Very simple to set up. It’s fast–ready to go after I enter my password. Great HP quality.
