My Apple Watch never falls off

Honestly, this is my third whoop in a year. My boyfriend is a personal trainer and he loves them so he wants me to have one. They keep falling off even though I’m using the original band and they don’t fall off when I’m doing something that pushes on them they fall off when I’m sleeping, which it is supposed to be measuring your sleep. this morning. It fell off while I was brushing my hair. It’s not even a week old and it’s fallen off twice. I give it two months before I lose this one too, I will not buy a fourth one I keep extending my membership for centuries now I think, but I won’t have a product to last it. very disappointing.I had not submitted this review and I came back in to do a new review because I had fallen off for the third time the product itself might be good but if it can’t stay on the body, it will never work. A lot of money for a substandard product. My Apple Watch never falls off.

    Subscription costly

In case you order whoop “Life” subscription, keep in mind that renewal each year will take another 1300 AED.

Complaint Regarding Activity Tracker – 12 Month Membership – Health and Fitness Wearable

Complaint Regarding WHOOP 5.0 / WHOOP Activity Tracker – 12‑Month MembershipSince the day I purchased the WHOOP 5.0 Activity Tracker with the 12‑month membership, I have consistently experienced issues with the device disconnecting from the application. The product does not perform anywhere near what is shown in the marketing videos on social media.Based on my experience, the device has not met my expectations in terms of reliability or performance. I am disappointed with what feels like a faulty and unreliable product.I request that this issue be addressed promptly, as the device has not delivered the quality or functionality that was advertised.

Powerful insights, but subscription model & support hold it back

I’ve been using the WHOOP 5.0 with the 12-month membership for a few weeks now, and overall it’s a mixed bag. There are some real strengths, but also a few drawbacks you should know before you commit.✅ What I likeComfort & designThe band is light, discreet, and easy to wear all day. It doesn’t feel bulky, and wearing it in sleep or during workouts is unintrusive.Battery life & charging convenienceThe battery lasts impressively long (I’ve only needed to charge a few times in weeks of use). The wireless / modular charging setup is also a plus — you don’t constantly have to remove the device.Actionable metrics & insightsThe app gives you daily scores for sleep, recovery, and strain (how hard your body is working). Over time, these help you understand when to push and when to rest.Plus, the new Healthspan / Whoop Age / Pace of Aging features are interesting — it’s cool to see how your habits influence long-term wellness, even though the metric is still evolving.Holistic health focusIt doesn’t try to be everything (GPS, daily steps, etc.). Instead, it zeroes in on biometrics and recovery, which is its forte.⚠️ What could be better (and what to watch out for)Subscription cost & tiersThe mandatory membership model is a big downside. You’re locked in to paying to access the features, even if you stop using the hardware. The newer tiered model (One, Peak, Life) means some health features are behind higher-priced tiers. Some users have complained about unclear upgrade policies and what’s included. (This has caused backlash in the WHOOP community.)DC Rainmaker+2The Verge+2Customer service & activation issuesA few reviews mention problems with membership activation and unhelpful support responses. For example, despite purchasing the device + membership via Amazon, some users struggled to get their membership properly activated.AmazonIf you run into any setup or billing problems, be persistent with support.Accessory compatibility & forced upgradesSome older WHOOP 4.0 straps are not compatible with the 5.0, meaning you may need to buy new bands. Also, the upgrade path to 5.0 had controversy around whether it would be free for existing users or require paying/adding to membership. The Verge+2Wikipedia+2Accuracy quirks & missing live metricsBecause the device focuses on recovery and internal biometrics, it’s not ideal for real-time workout metrics (pace, distance) — you’ll typically need a phone or other device for that. Some users report discrepancies in calorie estimates or heart rate spikes not being captured fully.Amazon+2DC Rainmaker+2Over-optimization / guilt factorThe app often nudges you toward “ideal” sleep and recovery behaviors, which is great if you want optimization — but it can feel guilt-inducing or rigid if you prefer more flexibility in your lifestyle.TechRadar+1🎯 Verdict & recommendationIf you’re a serious athlete, someone deeply invested in recovery, performance, and long-term health optimization, the WHOOP 5.0 + 12-month membership can offer valuable insights you won’t easily get elsewhere. The strength lies in the depth of data, patterns over time, and guidance on rest vs strain. However, if you want a one-time purchase wearable, or don’t want to be locked into subscriptions, or prefer more live metrics (pace, distance etc.) built in, you might prefer a more flexible tracker or smartwatch. In short: it’s a powerful tool — but not a magic bullet. Know what you’re paying for, be ready for occasional friction in support, and let the insights guide you (not guilt you).
