    Great Quality Budget 22″ Monitor

    This is my review of the Dell SE2222H – Not any other monitor gathered here!I was looking for a smaller monitor for my DAW rig with a VESA mount.I already had 2 lovely (larger & more expensive!) monitors but I wanted a third monitor on an arm to view plugins whilst playing my main keyboard.This is a cheap monitor – but great value!It feels sturdy enough and it does have the standard VESA 100 arrangement – despite what some other reviewers say!I was able to fix a monitor arm to this very easily – see my photo. It comes with the required screws already installed.If you don’t require the VESA mount, you can blank it off with the included blanking panel.The picture quality is never going to be as good as a £200+ monitor, but it is pretty good – see my 2nd photo.Yes, there is some loss when viewed at an angle, but that’s what I would expect for a low budget monitor.This has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA input (why VGA? it’s 2024!!).I used a DVI-D to HDMI adapter to take the third output from my graphics card (DVI-D) to the HDMI input on the monitor.The monitor was recognised instantly by Win 10 and I was able to arrange it to be the third, rightmost monitor in my rig very easily.I was able to tweak the colour balance and brightness etc to my liking from the graphics card driver software utility.Overall this does the job well. It’s a low budget monitor with a good name and a nice picture with even illumination.It doesn’t have built in speakers – thank goodness! I never used the built in speakers in monitors – they never sound good.Recommended if you’re on a lower budget and want a quality 22″ monitor.Hope I’ve helped 🙂

    L’écran est top, finition mate, plusieurs réglages dont luminosité et contraste, ne présente aucun défaut après 2 mois (à voir pour la suite)

    Value for money

    It’s a nice monitor and display is good. I use it for office purpose mainly for excel and helps a lot. However, one may feel it is not sturdy but if you keep it in one place and don’t touch or move it often then it won’t be a problem

    I’m a bit disappointed in this monitor, it’s screen quality isn’t great, and it seems to need constant adjustment to display correctly.

    Very easy to use , just one push of a button and its on very fast Monitor in the mornings , the brightest is great I have not messed around with it and you do not strain your eyes when looking at it.I will definitely buy this again.

    If you have a budget of 7-8k then only choose this product. Otherwise go with dell P22 series, it has far better display for around 12k.

    Good product

    So far the product is good. I see one issue that Dell has not paid attention to it. You can not change its Height. This is not height adjustable monitor. You can only tilt.

    Usable but not exciting

    Picture quality is not sharp. OK for occasional use but not for long use. Look and feel also indicates cheap quality but i guess ok for that price. Would have returned but order not cancellable, only replacement option available.

    Great

    Great monitor. Easy to use and lightweight. Comes with hdmi and vga connections, sadly no usb hub on this model. I haven’t used the stand but was simple to set up on a flush wall bracket with no cabling issues.

    Dell SE2222H 21.5 Inch Full HD

    Bought a fair few of these in total over past year or so for colleagues working from home. At the price it’s a good workaday monitor. It doesn’t have a massive footprint so doesn’t take up too much room on desk. Colours and brightness all good for working from home etc. Comes with HDMI cable, amazing how many other brands don’t.

    Excellent picture quality

    I bought this 21.5-inch Dell Monitor to use alongside my 32-inch 4K monitor. It is set up in portrait mode to work on documents and for reading. The monitor was easy to connect to my dual monitor arm and it is very sturdy. The control panel on the bottom right-hand side of the monitor allows me to adjust the settings to my preference.The picture quality on this full HD monitor is excellent. However, I am still attempting to find the ideal setting for a more visually comfortable typing and reading experience. What I find strange is that I cannot focus on the screen for too long when the ‘ComfortView’ feature is activated!While unboxing this monitor, I noticed that the screen’s protective film was missing and there were smudge marks on the monitor; this is not a new product! For this reason, I will have to scrutinise its performance in case of any technical issues. Aside from that, I can recommend this monitor.

    Much better than my old one.

    I had an old monitor that just wasn’t up to the job, saying the cctv camera was too good for it. I bought this new one and I’m very pleased with it. The pictute quality is very good and I now have a very clear vision of the front of my house. I was a bit surprised by the shape of the screen which is a bit like a wide screen TV.

    It broke down but was replaced EDIT: Wow a brand new screen !!

    I have so many Dell screens at home and at work, this one didnt last – screen flickering and double vision – tried it on several other PC’s but same result. Let’s see if DELL hold up their end with the 3 year warranty….well its 2 days later and after a few emails, checks and photos they are sending me a parcel today, let’s see what it is, parts or a new screen :-)EDIT: Wow a brand new screen !! and the old one back in the same box the next day! Not great that it failed after 18 months but the professionalism of Dell Customer care was very good – no problem – Would feel safe buying more Dell products.

    Qualité au top

    J’ai acheté cet écran il y a bientôt 1an et aucune différence d’affichage ou de qualité tout fonctionne comme à l’achat. Je m’en sers en tant qu’écran secondaire ce qui me permet d’y placer des pages supplémentaires sur cet écran. L’affichage est net on peut même le régler avec des boutons sur le côté de l’écran.

    Very nice monitors, well packaged.

    This was ordered to work from home and is ok. A bit fiddly turning the monitor’s on and off. No precise instructions so didn’t know what to expect once turned on. Got there eventually.

    Ich weiß jetzt nicht, wie stabil und gut die Monitore anderer Hersteller in dem Preissegment sind.Die Monitore sind sehr leicht, dad Display sehr empfindlich (wenn man etwas mit dem Finger auf dem Display zeigen will, gibt es gleich starke Veränderungen im Bild um den Zeigepunkt) und die Bildqualität, an die muss man sich wirklich erst gewöhnen.Mit der Zeit gewöhnt sich das Auge daran, aber so was habe ich noch nicht erlebt.Empfehlen kann ich die jedenfalls nicht.Sind nicht meine “daily driver” und durfte nicht viel kosten, andernfalls hätte ich die gleich wieder eingepackt.

    J’ai acheté cet écran 2 fois, d’abord écran cassé, puis cable défectueux

    J’ai acheté cet écran 2 fois. La premiere fois, je l’ai renvoyé car l’écran était cassé. La deuxième fois, je l’ai gardé mais le cable pour l’alimentation électrique était défectueux : comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo en piece jointe, la prise électrique avait une malformation et ne rentrait pas dans une prise électrique française. J’ai trouvé par chance un cable qui convenait chez moi et je n’ai pas pris la peine de renvoyer l’écran une deuxième fois, ce que je j’aurai du faire, car je me rends compte que je ne peux pas demander un dédommagement juste pour le cable défectueux. Je ne recommande donc pas d’acheter cet écran car la qualité n’est pas fiable.

    Bought for home working

    Great monitor. Easy to set up. Took 2 minutes once I got it out of the box. Lovely clear screen and nice and wide so I can view multiple documents on it at the same time. Able to tilt it to suit my sitting position and avoid sun glare. Very happy with purchase

    A bit to wide for my taste but gets the job done. It does not rotate vertically in case that is what you are looking for.

    It fits the space and works well as a seond screen, bigger would not have fitted

    Nice light tidy monitor which is lifted off my desk 3″ by its stand, so I can fit things under it if necessary, and dust behind it ! Surround is nice and thin. On/off tiny switch bottom right is rather small to activate but I can live with that.
